Which capability would actually justify an edition upgrade? Google’s March 9, 2017 administrator notice gives a buyer a precise starting point: Meet was offered across G Suite editions, while creating meetings with dial-in phone numbers was reserved for Enterprise users. A purchase comparison should therefore distinguish basic video access from that creation right, rather than treating Meet as an entirely Enterprise-only product. [admin]

That distinction changes the question a buyer should put to the business. Does it need to create meetings with a telephone option, or is it merely expecting employees to attend them? The notice attaches the edition restriction to creation, not to every participant. Our recommendation is to identify the required capability before attributing value to an upgrade. The sources do not supply a price comparison. [admin]

Chat presented another possible source of suite value. Google described Drive and Docs content visible within project conversations, alongside threaded rooms and filterable search. For a team already organizing work around those documents, a buyer could ask whether that arrangement merits evaluation. This is a proposed fit question, not evidence of lower costs, faster work or an advantage over another vendor. [hangouts]

Do not put both propositions in the same availability column. Google announced Meet’s general availability with gradual rollout, while Chat required an Early Adopter Program application. A useful buying sheet would separate the all-edition meeting offer, the Enterprise dial-in creation entitlement and the still-conditional Chat evaluation. These Google-origin descriptions explain packaging; they cannot establish realized value for an individual purchaser. [hangouts][admin]
